An Homage to Trees

We are like the trees.

Today, I spent the morning outside and everywhere I looked, leaves were raining.

The trees have been changing their colors, (shedding skin, if you will), for several weeks now.

Today, however, it seems that all the leaves decided to fall all at once.

For centuries, poets, artists, and romantics alike have used nature as an analogy for change.

It may be cheesy, but I can’t help but think about today's snowstorm of foliage in this regard.

Sometimes change happens slowly and sparsely.

Other times, we feel ourselves stripped and left barren in a matter of hours.

Today, our trees are readying themselves for the next season!

This morning, the world around me serves as a reminder to always embrace the change happening in my life.

Regardless of how or when the leaves fall,

It is important to remember that change is natural, necessary, and

incredibly beautiful to watch.
