The winter is over, flowers bloomed months ago, summer is well on its way, and today, July 1st, marks the commencement of a new half year. If you haven't celebrated the mid year before, I suggest you start now.

This mid-way check point is the perfect time to reflect on the goals you set for yourself this year and realign to prepare for the the second half of the race. How far have you come with your plans? Has your vision changed?

My issue with the January 1st resolutions aren't deep, but still; Its the middle of the winter time, productivity is at an all time low, and its easy to lose sight of a goal when you give yourself a full 365 days to complete it.

Mid year resolutions however.... its summer, its hot out, the days are longer, the mood is lifted. You have more ~~life experience~~ than January you. For me personally, I found that it is easier to complete a task or form a new habit if I give myself 6 months rather than 12 months.

So, if you're looking to make a change in lifestyle, introspect on your year, or just want an excuse to throw a dinner party tonight... this is your sign to celebrate the mid year.
