The Art of Copenhagen

I recently visited Copenhagen and was in awe of so many aspects of the city. The streets were so clean, and the people were so approachable. As a young woman in my 20's, safety is a pretty priority for me when traveling. This was the safest I've felt! No catcallers, no wandering eyes. Adults would go into stores and leave their babies in strollers outside. I left my books in my bike basket one day for an hour and they were left undisturbed! That would never be the case in New York. Although it was cold, people still opted to bike everywhere. It made the city feel so energized!

Anyways, while biking around Copenhagen, the number one thing that stood out to me was the street art. It was so beautiful. The colors and the images were so impactful, and the designs were impossible to miss. I cannot read Danish, so I'm not sure what a lot of the work said.... but the messages done in English tended to talk about peace, change, and hope for a better world.

Here are some pictures I took of the art.
